Pretty! Natural Beauty Product Review

Earlier this week a friend posted a question on a Facebook asking what others recommend as far as inexpensive beauty products. I added my two cents to the comments and also had a lightbulb moment. I absolutely love sharing my favorite food and beauty products with family, friends, and health coaching clients and so doing a blog post on the topic of beauty products was a no brainer. Without further ado…

Starting with the makeup bag, I like Jane Iredale liquid mineral foundation and for a cheaper version I like Lorac Natural Performance (available at Ulta).  Now that we have our bases covered, 🙂 to add a little color to the cheeks I’ve been using Mineral Fusion (available at Vitamin Cottage). To add a dramatic effect to the eyes or more specifically my eyelashes, I use Gabriel Mascara (available at Whole Foods). I haven’t tried a natural eye liner that I love so I’m still using an oldie but a goodie by Lancome. I usually don’t wear eye shadow except on rare occasions or dress my lips with anything except lip balm, in which case I adore the sphere lip balm by EOS (if you love the lip balm like me, you can get a pack at Costco & share with your loved ones)!

As far as hair, I like to occasionally use the Surya Brasil Henna Cream to touch up and add a little color. To protect my skin from sun damage and other ill effects, I don’t try to get my tan from the sun (however I do get my Vitamin D from it!), rather I use Nature’s Gate Glow Lotion and Alba Botanica Sunless Tanner for my face.

To add a pretty smell, I adore the Love & Toast collection and have enjoyed the Honey Coconut & Pomme Poivre scent along with the Honey Nectar cream and a few other hand lotions.

Alright, so those are the basics that I use. I haven’t found a shampoo & conditioner that I absolutely love so the jury is still out on that one. I am currently using the Awapuhi line by Paul Mitchell that doesn’t have sulfates…not the best but it will do for now.

Not only do I love sharing but I always love hearing what’s working for others and I’d love to know what some of your favorites are. Trying new healthy foods and beauty products is a favorite so let me know so I can add them to my list!

Have a great weekend!
